Note Card Design - The Slovenian Museum and Archives of Cleveland

The Slovenian Museum and Archives of Cleveland commissioned me to create a set of note cards to celebrate Cleveland’s Kurentovanje. Featured on the cards are a Kurent, Slovenian dancers, beehive, gingerbread hearts (lectovo srce), and braided bread (praznicni kruh)

Kurentovanje is a festival celebrated every year in Putj, Slovenia. It signifies the ending of winter and the beginning of spring, brought about by the Kurents. Cleveland has it’s own Kurentovanje celebrating our Slovenian heritage.
